For your humorous listening enjoyment, Kanye and Kim having a baby I hear? Kanye hears wedding bells, I suspect Kim hears cha-ching!
There seem to be a lot of issues these days; and people seem to be looking at one thing or the other to explain away all things which ail, or just plain annoy them. Ultimately, in a world run by postmodernist thinking very little can be called truth; or at the very least true for all. Only the delusional make such claims if they cannot at least acknowledge that postmodernist thinking is at its core frail at best. It is like claiming you know nothing, while knowing everything will be answered eventually………sometime.
I don’t agree with this, as it is an oxymoron. To say there is no such thing as objective truth is to claim its own truthful objectivity. To start with, I always like to know the definitions of what I am dealing with. So with regards to our current national predicament I am going to discuss here are two definitions.
The definitions of a Degenerate Mind, and the Modern Mind:
1. Degenerate Mind (My view of the Current State of the American Mind):
[dih-jen-uh-reyt; dih-jen-er-it] Show IPA verb, de·gen·er·at·ed, de·gen·er·at·ing, adjective, noun. verb (used without object)
1. to fall below a normal or desirable level in physical, mental, or moral qualities; deteriorate: The morale of the soldiers degenerated, and they were unable to fight.
2. to diminish in quality, especially from a former state of coherence, balance, integrity, etc.: The debate degenerated into an exchange of insults.
3. Pathology . to lose functional activity, as a tissue or organ.
4. Evolution. (of a species or any of its traits or structures) to revert to a simple, less highly organized, or less functionally active type, as a parasitic plant that has lost its taproot or the vestigial wings of a flightless bird. verb (used with object)
5. to cause degeneration in; bring about a decline, deterioration, or reversion in.
2. Modern Mind (My view of what most “think” or at least claim, is their point of view):
From PBS: A general and wide-ranging term which is applied to literature, art, philosophy, architecture, fiction, and cultural and literary criticism, among others. Postmodernism is largely a reaction to the assumed certainty of scientific, or objective, efforts to explain reality. In essence, it stems from a recognition that reality is not simply mirrored in human understanding of it, but rather, is constructed as the mind tries to understand its own particular and personal reality. For this reason, postmodernism is highly skeptical of explanations which claim to be valid for all groups, cultures, traditions, or races, and instead focuses on the relative truths of each person. In the postmodern understanding, interpretation is everything; reality only comes into being through our interpretations of what the world means to us individually. Postmodernism relies on concrete experience over abstract principles, knowing always that the outcome of one’s own experience will necessarily be fallible and relative, rather than certain and universal.
Postmodernism is “post” because it is denies the existence of any ultimate principles, and it lacks the optimism of there being a scientific, philosophical, or religious truth which will explain everything for everybody – a characterisitic of the so-called “modern” mind. The paradox of the postmodern position is that, in placing all principles under the scrutiny of its skepticism, it must realize that even its own principles are not beyond questioning. As the philospher Richard Tarnas states, postmodernism “cannot on its own principles ultimately justify itself any more than can the various metaphysical overviews against which the postmodern mind has defined itself.”
In today’s world, people equate postmodernism with liberalism; they are not necessarily the same.
Two actual proponents of what is considered “true” Liberalism:
1. Economic: Concept that a government should not try to control prices, rents, and/or wages but instead let open competition and forces of demand and supply create an equilibrium between them that benefits the vast majority of citizens. It differs from the doctrine of laissez faire in its acceptance of the government intervention to control creation and spread of monopolies and in distribution of public good. Economic liberalism, in general, favors redistribution of income through taxes and welfare payments.
2. Political: Concept that the preservation of individual liberty and maximization of freedom of choice should be the primary aim of a representative government. It stresses that all individuals stand equal before law (without class privileges) and have only a voluntary contractual relationship with the government. It defends freedom of speech and press, freedom of artistic and intellectual expression, freedom of worship, private property, and use of state resources for the welfare of the individual.

If minds can degenerate with time, and bad leadership; then what happens when they group together? Is the modern mind equal to the degenerate mind; or are we still like the youth of any age and capable of change? Personally, I have my opinions; allow me to explain.
Acute Polio of the Moral Mind; AKA “cocaine is a helluva drug”
Obviously, absolute certainty for a human being is very difficult if not impossible to come by. We are creatures of a finite mind; we are naturally incapable of infinite reason. As awesome as our collective faculties are; there are very pure reasons we have always sought the inner security of a “higher being.” We crave the security of knowing that death is not the end; and there are repercussions for terrible choices; say murder, and various other “evil” ailments of humanity that go bump in the night. Depriving us of “our time” on God’s green earth in one fashion or another; thus robbing us of something we “own.” At least we think we own it, and therefore where is the “Grand Judge?” “If there is a Big Daddy up in the sky, why is there so much evil?” they ask. I will spare you a theological debate; yet the point is that authority derives from somewhere.
The reason this is so important is because there needs to be an effective litmus test to gauge where an individual, community, or society as a whole is going based on its own internal fabric. Hence the term “morality” is harped on so much. But what if a society as a whole is corrupted, and what is good is considered evil and evil good?
Most could agree, I think, that a society that embodies such a distinction in practice may suffer its own sovereignty as a nation of degenerates as a sort of perpetual death they wake up to every morning on their way to a cubicle. I honestly think that things like fascination with vampires, zombies, violence, sexual depravity, feminism’s claim of abortion as birth control defined as “personal choice,” and the public outcry against any prohibition against such acts as “evil” that pervades our own culture; is indicative of a culture that seems so enamored with its own mark of societal depraved group think it can no longer see right from wrong. Let alone agree on its existence.
If you have ever scuba dived, you know that bubbles always float towards the surface. This can be a very comforting feeling when lost and upside down in confusion about which way is up; and where you are. Those instruments you have are there for a reason; your body has rules to follow like air to breath, and times to decompress.
Yet our society is increasingly willing to drown rather than accept any form of rules they did not make on their own; no matter how destructive! In other words, what is good for me is no care at all to me if it is bad for thee. Contractual law and consistent living be damned; I have a “lifestyle” to lead and I don’t care what others think or how it hurts them. This is very close to our current national credo; or maybe more likely the human condition throughout history.
Or perhaps the current depraved mindset we possess is an unconscious admission of a need for something or someone to terminate their ailments that they are unable to do on their own; even to the point of death is like the warning signs of a terminal illness on a grand scale. Movies like 2012, and horror movies and sitcoms of creatures that kill others to survive quite possibly share a larger context with American citizens and their habits than we care to realize? As if Jack Kevorkian could “ease the collective pain” of all who refuse to live in a perfect utopia free of any sort of pain? Thus the clairvoyance of government is viewed by “faith” by those who refuse to believe in anything as their final and last hope against calamity. If one cannot find what to believe; must they find something at all?
If my view is correct, we may be in the death throes of our culture, if we have any left. Possibly we are in for a financial “flood” of Biblical proportions. As culture is the world’s currency exchange of the human mind; thus our love affair with fiat inflationary models, welfare being a chief indicator, we may not possess the necessary raw materials of foresight, a strong work ethic, a desire to produce our own demographics’ survival, and ability to produce a stable future for our physical offspring.
All of these things are very similar to a vampire lifestyle in that many that live like this feel superior to the dupes they “bleed” in order to live how they want. The stage is likely set for another economic down turn to hammer the final nail in our future’s coffin to the world as we currently know it. I can’t say I am as apprehensive about this as others, but that is a topic for another day. Talking about what might happen if welfare’s EBT cards stop paying has already been covered.
Get to the point El Bastardo!
The point of all this really is about our morality as a sort of ‘life’s blood” circulating through a society and its culture being the body; and our dedication to being decent, truly independent beings a sort of heart that pumps our morality to the rest of it. Am I the only one in thinking 2008 was more than mere chest pain? Somebody call a doctor, whoever he is; I think all the symptoms are there for the cardiac arrest of the United States. If not cardiac arrest, then maybe a full scale invasion, in a similar vein to biological warfare; but in the practical financial sense. The ideological contaminant could be labeled “social incentives.” People vote with their feet; and their feet have no issue waiting for a check at the unemployment line. It is easily argued that personal pride is a material resource in short supply today.
Basically our last election is irrelevant about who got elected, as much as it is relevant about why people voted the way they did. The most violent, welfare ridden, and degenerate of our society chose a welfare state to give it free stuff versus learning to support their own lives. Benjamin Franklin, the Leonardo Da Vinci of the founding fathers, must have to adjust his spectacles as he rolls in his grave. Largely this monolithic voting bloc consists of the same groups of people who defend pornography, abortion, criminals, and corrupt politicians as okay; living with a mob thought mentality, gangs, and loose morals are the people who decided this last election.
This way of thought crosses over racial and religious barriers much like a disease; critical thinking is the cure. Yet it has no real practical value in a world that values the pictures of “kitties” on Reddit over high intellectual thought as the order of the day. Like a toddler on his first day of shots; the delivery mechanism of critical thought is housed in the syringe of discipline; and they are needle shy to say the least. I can hear their crying from all over the world. If welfare is economic cancer; then the modern mind possesses polio.
